MY STORY

I’m Melissa – certified integrative nutrition health coach, graduated from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, NY (IIN). I work to empower you with greater self-awareness and connection to your true nature.

I grew up in Mexico City, raised by a single mother in a fast-paced lifestyle surrounded by unhealthy food options like delicious tacos and spicy Mexican food!

At a very young age, I struggled with heavy episodes of gastritis, colon problems, bloating, breakouts, and PCOS as a result of a bad diet and lack of education and awareness of my own body.

My health journey started while searching for the answers to my own healing. I incorporated whole foods in my diet and learned natural remedies. Implementing them and becoming aware of my surroundings, relationships, emotions and needs, which resulted in noticeable improvements in my gut health, energy, mood, sleep and my overall wellbeing, both physically and mentally.

In 2021, I suffered a severe injury by skiing, needing surgery to plate and correct a tibia plateau fracture. It has been one of my biggest challenges ever. I was able to re-discover myself, feel enormous gratitude and love towards my body while gaining discipline, patience, perseverance, and the desire to share that revelation and growth with people.

Inspired by my personal transformation and passion for nutrition, I decided to pursue a career as an Integrative Health Coach, enrolling in a certificate program learning about nutrition, physical activity, stress management among other key aspects of holistic health.

I’ve been a US resident for almost 8 years. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, painting, practicing yoga, and experimenting with new healthy recipes in the kitchen!

Every “body” is different, and there is no one size to fits us all. I believe that everyone has the power to take control of their own health and transform their lives. I’m committed to help my clients to succeed.

With love,

Melissa Cabral
